Feminists Claim DNC Discriminates Against Mothers
August 22, 2012
FEMINIST activists, including the untiring Wicked Witch of the West, Gloria Steinem, claim the Democratic National Committee is discriminating against mothers for not allowing children on the floor of the upcoming convention in Charlotte. That’s right. You heard it. After doing everything possible to trivialize motherhood and promote child neglect, the National Organization of Women is now up in arms because mothers can’t take their children to a political convention.
The Daily Caller has the story:
According to mother and 2012 Democratic National Convention delegate Susie Shannon, the policy is disenfranchising women like her.
“Moms with young children six years of age and under who cannot be left at home, some of whom are breastfeeding, are relegated to second-class status within the Democratic Convention,” she explained in a statement, “unable to participate as a delegate due to antiquated policies and inadequate accommodations that were apparently in place before women’s suffrage.”
NOW Hollywood President Lindsey Horvath charged that the policy of requiring children and babies to be credentialed is being used to discriminate against mothers.
“The DNC requires children and babies to have a credential to enter the convention, and then denies these credential requests from moms. The DNC credentialing process is being used as a tool to prevent mothers from participating at the convention and is nothing short of discriminatory.”
Here’s a solution. Turn the convention over to men. Let these devoted moms stay home. Or better yet, leave the mothers home and let the children go by themselves. They’d probably take politics more seriously than these perpetually adolescent leftists.

Something seems to be missing here. Surely many of these women are single mothers, the greatest, most wonderful, self-sacrificial thing a modern woman can achieve, and yet not a word about this exclusive class to drive the ball out of the park? Stay tuned, eh.

They don’t have husbands, or older children, or any other relatives to babysit apparently. Democrats are so far removed from family values, they don’t know what a family is. They think it’s perfectly normal to drag children to a political convention and that politicians owe them childcare wherever they go.
If the suffragettes could have foreseen where the women’s vote would lead, they would have called the whole thing off.

The Washington Times notes that the DNC plans to have a big Muslim extravaganza at the convention. I am sure the feminists would get along just fine with the notoriously pro-feminist Muslim crowd! Maybe they could have a big discussion about women’s rights in Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
