The New York Woman
March 22, 2010
NEW YORK is easily one of the worst cities for normal women who are not married by the age of 30, as Gavin McInnes cleverly argues. Sex and the City put a pretty face on an ugly situation, covering up desperation with female bravado and stylish shoes. The only compensations for the New York woman are the lucrative jobs and good restaurants in which to have lachrymose, wine-drenched meals with her fellow unmarried girlfriends.

I read your piece on NY Women. I also read Mr. McInnis’ piece which you cited. Sorry, but I can’t feel any sympathy for these women. Number one, they bash & trash men 24/7. Two, they chase after the Mr. Bigs of the world; they chase after guys who have no motivation or intention of having a committed relationship. What did they think would happen? Finally, these same women blew off good guys in their 20s when men wanted them. Sorry, but they made their beds; now they can lie in ’em and like it!

McInnes portrays the women too much as the victims of selfish men. These women in all likelihood overlooked decent men in their twenties. At the same time, they live in a provincial world in which feminist ideology reigns. They know nothing else. I don’t feel sorry for them because they are victims of men, but because they are the casualties of a materialistic, inhuman view of life. They went along with it.
