Advertising Homosexuality
May 4, 2011
AS REPORTED at Adweek, the clothing retailer J. Crew, which recently unveiled an ad of a mother (the company’s creative director) painting her son’s toenails pink, has a new ad featuring a homosexual couple. No mention here that both of these men are likely to suffer serious illnesses or physical inconveniences, not to mention sterility, due to their chosen lifestyle.

I think it’s a good idea to homeschool my future children.

Yes, it is.

A couple of years ago, when I was first married, my newlywed wife and I went down to the local department store to buy a comforter set. I was flabbergasted to see one with a picture of two men on the front, clearly intended as an advertisement for homosexuality. Well, here’s my half-full take: this sort of thing has to be a turn-off to the great majority of men. J-Crew is not going to see its sales increase with this sort of campaign, at least not among men. Yes, they probably don’t care as long as they get to promote the homosexual lifestyle, but the economic bottom line may force them to cut it out. Let’s hope and pray so.

I was thinking the same thing. Either J. Crew’s executives are so ideologically pure, they don’t care or they are actively cultivating a niche market among homosexuals.
