In Iran, a Christian pastor, Yousef Nadarkhani, is awaiting execution for the crime of leaving Islam and embracing Christianity (though the Iranians are trying to cover their backs by backing away from the apostasy charges, and instead fabricating charges that Yousef Nadarkhani committed rape, extortion, and spied for Israel). This is, of course, a representation of the wider reality of what Christians in the Muslim world, from Egypt to Iraq to Pakistan, suffer on a daily basis from the practitioners of the religion of peace. Christians should remember Yousef Nadarkhani in their prayers, and beseech Christ to give him strength and patience. The plight of Mr. Nadarkhani reminds me of the words of St. Paul, which I do think apply to him: “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).

Remember the outrage in America over Terry Johnson’s burning of a single copy of the Koran? Where is it now?
