THE COLOSSEUM and the Roman Forum are under snow today. The city has experienced its first measurable snowfall in 26 years.

Actually, it is not the first measurable snowfall in Rome in 26 years. It is more accurate to say it is the most significant snowfall in 26 years. There has been nothing over 5 centimeters during that period.
