Philadelphia: City of Manifest Delusions

April 29, 2013

THE PHILADELPHIA City Council last week approved a bill that would require the city’s health plan to pay for sex change surgery, as well as psychotherapy, hormone treatments, and laser-hair removal for those pretending to be the opposite sex. A city that can barely meet its operating expenses and that has scared legions of businesses away with its draconian taxes and crime has now turned to investing in the medical mutilation of its citizens. Perhaps there is logic in this.

The bill also requires all restrooms in newly constructed city buildings to be “gender neutral” to prevent “bathroom discrimination” and will offer tax credits to businesses that provide coverage of sex change procedures to employees.

The city of William Penn and Ben Franklin is now one of the dumbest, most depraved cities in the history of humankind. The Daily News reports on the council meeting last week:

… [Name redacted], a transgender male and city employee who appeared before Council yesterday with his wife and one of his two sons, said this bill would provide coverage to his family.

“I ask you to look at one of my sons and ask yourself why shouldn’t he have health insurance and health care just as someone who was born biologically male, as he and his wife should have,” Kneafsey said. “We should all be covered the same.”

I recall several horrific crimes that all occurred in the 90s in Harrisburg, Philly and here in Lancaster, involving men following very young school girls into public restrooms and raping them. The case in Philly was a man who stoked himself on porn, which he freely accessed at the library on a public computer before following the little girl, who might have been ten or younger, into the bathroom. Of course, this will never ever happen, now that our betters have legislated reality according to their whims.

Something like that is a massive invitation to fraud. Do not expect me to believe that in contemporary America (read about the fraud in the farm “discrimination” case) anything will have proper oversight. Remember what Buck said about our institutions. They are all broken.

Jay adds:

1. There is no such thing as the “LGBT community.” The late, sorely missed Lawrence Auster alerted us to these journalistic lunacies.

2. The surname of the mayor expected to sign off on this bill is Nutter.

3. Yes.

That sentence could have come straight out of the book The Hunger Games. Creepy.

Jane is wrong, It is a plot out of a Monty Python sketch:

…which contains the most apt line: “Symbolic of his struggle against reality”

We are now well beyond blasphemous parody. I’m trying to locate another video I posted on my site of a group of cross-dressing sexually disoriented people. Pure comedy in its blackest, most bitter form: Educated people having swapped meaningful language for the insane jargon and dialect of their professors. They were trying to communicate with each other, but not getting very far.

This development, along with the vignette from Monty Python, show that once again, Marx was wrong: here we have history repeating itself, but the first time was a farce (Python), and now it’s a tragedy.

How future generations will revile us for our wickedness!
