“Catholic” Justice Anthony Kennedy, writing for the Supreme Court’s liberal majority in last month’s Windsor decision, pretended that the majority’s attack on the U.S. Defense of Marriage Act was limited to striking down its provisions forbidding federal agencies to recognize homosexuals’ “marriages.”  Conservative commentators, Catholic and otherwise, warned even before the Supreme Court had handed down its unconstitutional ukaze that overturning any part of DOMA would throw open the door – through judicial abuse of the Constitution’s Full Faith and Credit Clause – to forcing all states to recognize any homosexual “marriage” contracted in any other state. They were right. It did not take long for what pro-marriage advocates warned against to happen.

In a sad situation — sad because one of the men is near death — two Ohio-resident homosexual men have sued to compel that state to recognize their Maryland “marriage,” contracted on an airfield in Anne Arundel County in the jet chartered to fly them to and from Maryland, as the ALS-afflicted member of the pairing could not move.  It’s quite plain this was done as a pretext to challenge what the Supreme Court had left standing of DOMA.  And, of course, an obliging federal district judge, Timothy Black, immediately so ordered.  Will Ohio’s mushy-Republican governor, John Kasich (a Catholic turned Evangelical), oppose Judge Black’s order, in anything other than pro forma fashion?  I wouldn’t bet on it.

Timothy Black is a good example of the kind of Republican who makes the GOP no threat to Democrats, and is a bipartisan threat to constitutional order in America.  A Harvard indoctrinee and registered Republican, Black as a practicing lawyer was a member of groups agitating to push minority lawyers to the front of the professional bus in Cincinnati.  I wonder if Black and colleagues were concerned about their protegés’ abilities, or simply their pigmentation.  G.W. Bush appointed Black a federal magistrate in 2004, while Barack Hussein Obama raised him to his current eminence in 2010.

I’m convinced that Justice Kennedy and his accomplices knew very well that this sodomite assault on states’ rights was exactly what would follow their Windsor ruling, and that it’s exactly what they intended all along.  Their destructiveness is equalled only by their dishonesty.  America now has an avatar of the Frankfurt School as the nation’s supreme legislature.  This will not end well.
