Italian Aid Workers in Muslim Captivity
January 2, 2015
TWO idealistic Italian college students, who went to Syria on a humanitarian mission and were kidnapped there this summer, have emerged in a video recording begging for their life. Details about any ransom requested by the Islamic group holding them are not available.
Now’s the time for a fresh statement from “Pope” Francis saying every religion has its fundamentalists.

Paul writes:
Last night on Catholic Radio, I seethed with anger over our government’s failure to address the awful conditions that the Coptic Christians in Egypt must put up with. There are 15-25 million Coptics in Egypt, and the females are being kidnapped and forced to convert to Islam. The authorities do nothing. And we send lousy country billions in aide? Where is the Pope calling for a Crusade? Where has the USA’s draft gone (for all adult ages in my view)? Is not diversity our strength, in which case we should be stronger than ever? No. Because the diversity is exactly why the USA is doing and saying nothing, in my view. So right after I send this, I will exhort my federal representatives to speak out about this. As if the slaughter of Christians by ISIS were not enough.
