In his conclusion, Goodman writes that this beautiful tradition, which has so often ennobled and dignified women, is a standing rebuke to the lies of feminism and the ugliness of egalitarianism.

This 65-year-old man is never more edified than when he sees a young veiled mother at Mass, a child or several in tow. There is a serene, holy beauty about such a woman. For me she is a walking actual grace — my mind is enlightened, my will strengthened to do good and avoid evil. What an act of kindness, of spiritual charity wearing the veil at Mass can be!
