Five years ago, Lawrence Auster posted a piece I wrote that dealt with the growing numbers of rapes committed against Norwegian women by Muslim men. In part, it stated:

From 1984-88, I served as the Press Attaché to the U.S. Embassy in Oslo, and even then I was told that the normally independent Norwegian woman’s approach to sexual relations was being transformed by this Moslem presence. To many of these new immigrants from Moslem countries, the sight of a woman at a disco…was a sign that she was not only a prostitute, but open to any and all suggestions. What remains perplexing to me after more than twenty year absence is to hear, of all things, a female police officer explain away the rape problem in Norway as a result of people coming “from traumatized countries.” If this police approach continues, I assure you that the numbers of rapes will not decrease, and Norway, along with many other Western European countries, will continue down the path of national suicide. In February of this year, the Gatestone Institute Foreign Policy Council published it findings regarding the rise of rape throughout the world, and I read that Norway’s neighbor, Sweden, now ranks Number Two in the world in the crime. How and where did it all begin? The report begins this way: 

“Forty years after the Swedish parliament unanimously decided to change the formerly homogenous Sweden into a multicultural country, violent crime has increased by 300% and rapes by 1,472%. Sweden is now number two on the list of rape countries, surpassed only by Lesotho in Southern Africa.” (Emphasis mine.)

Where Norwegian law enforcement officials were dismissing the crimes as committed by people “from traumatized countries,” a similar approach was taken by officials in Sweden. The report found: “In an astounding number of cases, the Swedish courts have demonstrated sympathy for the rapists, and have acquitted suspects who have claimed that the girl wanted to have sex with six, seven or eight men.”  Significantly, the report does not touch on the background of the rapists. One should, however, keep in mind that in statistics, second-generation immigrants are counted as Swedes.

Since 2000, there has only been one research report in Sweden on immigrant crime, which was done in 2006. In that period, the unprecedented rise in crime also featured this: gang rape. “A new trend reached Sweden with full force over the past few decades: gang rape — virtually unknown before in Swedish criminal history.” The number of gang rapes increased spectacularly between 1995 and 2006, but no studies of them have been undertaken.

All of this evidence clearly indicates the willingness that the late Signor Auster described as “the path to national suicide.” Both the Norwegian and Swedish Foreign Ministers are advocates of further admission of Muslims into their country. I believe that Herr Freud would have called that, “a death wish.”
