The Manufactured Insanity of “Transgenderism”
December 6, 2016
WHEN I STOPPED at a “natural foods” market recently to pick up a few things and went to the checkout, I had the feeling, just the sense as I was standing there and my purchases were being rung up, that someone was looking intently at me. I looked up and realized it was the young man, about 20 years old, packing my groceries. I believe he wanted me to look at him. And once I did, he smiled as if he was relieved. He thanked me in a friendly way; I thanked him. And I left.
But as I left, I tried to process his strangeness. I then realized he was not a man, but a young woman who was impersonating a man. That explained her apparent desire for me to look at her. If you have gone to extreme lengths to change your appearance, it is only natural that you would want people to see you. She obviously had had surgery and hormone treatment (there was a slight beard on her chin). But recalling her arms, hands and face, I knew they had the unmistakable, delicate skeletal structure of the female body, which cannot be altered by surgery.
It was not surprising to see someone who had undergone the deception known as a “sex change” in a natural foods market.
These places are frequented by people who believe in absolutely natural, organic conditions for plants and animals. But they do not believe consistently in the same conditions for human beings.
It’s important for a chicken to be natural, but a human being can impose the most artificial, dangerous conditions on himself for certain acceptable reasons related to sexual identity and autonomy. Toxic birth control, mutilating surgery, hormones that destroy fertility and cause cancer — these are okay for human beings, even in a store devoted to free-range poultry.
I was saddened by this woman’s condition. She will probably never be able to have children. And she may have life-long damage from hormones and drugs. She may very well die from cancer, all to indulge adolescent confusion.
And to top it off, there is no convincing proof that sex change operations remove serious psychological distress in people like her in the long run. In fact, there is evidence to the contrary. This young woman was the victim of a very sinister hoax. How can one not feel angry at her condition? Her parents probably funded her transformation. It’s one thing to let your child go through a phase of radical clothing. It’s another to let her physically mutilate herself in a permanent, irreparable way. Doctors apparently violated fundamental medical ethics on her supposed behalf.
But then great lies have been employed to convince the clueless and the willfully stupid that this is right. The ultimate goal of “transgenderism” is clearly not to help the weak and confused. In fact, it hurts them. Even people who have been otherwise supportive of the sexual revolution are uncomfortable with these deceptions.
Alex P. Serritella is a California schoolteacher, a liberal who was nevertheless so taken aback by the widespread and sudden acceptance of transgenderism that he decided to look closely at the subject. In his book, Transgenda: Abuse and Regret in the Sex Change Industry, he makes these important points. He has produced a common sense, well-researched critique of this disturbing phenomenon, which, as he rightly says, is going to damage many more lives. Again, Serritella is a liberal who believes homosexuality is not harmful (though the evidence that it is physically, psychologically and spiritually harmful is abundant.) But he has regrets and the sort of indignation that should be everywhere:
In the past I always supported gay rights. I was never an activist, but when it came up in conversation, I always stood up for them. Although I have no interest in it myself, I always thought that I should defend other people’s personal rights. I figured that if it’s consenting adults, indoors, and safe, then people should just leave them alone. It was a matter of principle. It was the “do unto others” philosophy. I didn’t want to be self‐righteous or judgmental. Even when the gay marriage debate was an issue, I still went along with it. It seemed weird, but I considered it their own private business.
But now I see where it has led and I am getting a different view of the whole thing. I see more of the overall picture now.
[….]
I wonder if I may have inadvertently supported this thing. If that’s the case, then I hope that this book will atone for it.
He later writes, using the word “gender” to mean one’s “sex”:
For the sake of being open‐minded, I have tried to consider the possibility that the pro‐trans side is right. Maybe gender really is fluid. Maybe people really can change gender by proclamation. What would be the implications of that? It would mean that in all the thousands of years of human existence, nobody ever knew this before. All throughout history, we stupid humans have always assumed that there were only two genders. And no one ever knew that you could change genders. It’s true that there wasn’t always the technology available to perform a sex‐change operation. But remember, that is not necessary to qualify for a complete, official gender change. Neither the operation nor the hormone treatment is necessary. A person can change gender just by declaration, and they certainly did have declarations thousands of years ago. This would have changed history if only people had known. Men could have avoided the draft by declaring themselves to be women. Women wasted their time in the suffrage movement. They could have just declared themselves men, and then they could vote. So nobody in history ever knew that gender was fluid? It means THE NEW PARADIGM 323 that transgenders are enlightened beings with a higher understanding of human nature, and the rest of us are blind and stupid.
One of the great contradictions of “transgenderism” is that on one hand, it treats the body as extrinsic to identity. The fact that one is physically male or female does not determine whether one actually is male or female. One’s feelings determine one’s sex. On the other hand — and this is a glaring contradiction — the body is so intrinsic to identity that the person who feels male but has a female body, like my grocery clerk, must go through extensive surgical and hormonal manipulation to make the body conform to personality.
It is not possible, however, to change one’s sex.
[There] are hustlers in lab coats, peddling a product that doesn’t exist. There is no such thing as a sex change, yet selling it is a billion‐dollar industry. Those who believe that it’s a matter of individual rights have been duped. If the public knew the whole truth about this industry, it would be eliminated overnight.
The American government is supporting transgenderism not because of its sympathy for a confused minority but because it fits in with its own efforts to weaken biologic ties, parental rights and the family in general, which is the main rival to a globalist state.
Serritella sees vast media manipulation behind the public’s acceptance of such contradictions.
So the transgender population in the USA appears to be about 0.2%. We will use that figure as our estimate.
It is amazing how such a small percentage of the population could achieve the social and political gains that they have. Politicians will generally not go out of their way to cater to 0.2% of potential voters, but in the case of transgenders, they have done just that. The President endorses them and signs executive action for them. Senators and governors sign outrageous legislation in their favor. The American Psychiatric Association and other professional organizations cave in to them. The media coddles and pampers them. Insurance providers must now cater to them. Schools must change their curriculum to accommodate them. It’s incredible that 0.2% of the population could have such clout. […] Where does this power come from? Even with all the gays, lesbians, and bisexuals in the country backing them up that still does not equal 5% of the population. Who else supports them? Those who truly champion individual rights would oppose transgenderism, since it tramples on the rights of everyone else. So who are their backers? How did the trans lobby accomplish so much? Did they do it all by themselves? I don’t believe they achieved it through grass roots organization alone. I have to believe they had help.
He compares the selling of transgenderism to the selling of the official 9/11 conspiracy theory:
So — what does 9/11 have to do with sex‐change operations? They both involve mind control and media manipulation. In both cases, we have been trained to believe something that defies common sense. It shows that they can sell us garbage. With 9/11, they could have executed the operations in a much more realistic manner, but they didn’t. They purposely showed us phony baloney on each event, just to see if they could get away with it. They wanted to see if we would believe our own eyes or the government. They are testing us and monitoring our responses.
The same is true with sex‐change operations. They show us phony baloney to see if they can get away with it. The Bruce Jenner case is the best‐known example, but there are many others, too. We have all heard stories of a seemingly normal and happy man with a good job, a beautiful wife, and a loving family, who suddenly drops a bomb on everyone by announcing he is having a sex‐change operation. This sometimes happens at around age 40 or 50, or maybe even later, and yet it is sold to the public as a congenital condition and a medical necessity. And the public has bought it. If this was truly a medical necessity, would a man wait 50 years to have it corrected? How could he live so happily and successfully for so many years without the procedure? That is unquestionable proof that this is not medically necessary. If he lived 50 years with this condition, and he was fine except for occasional depression, then he could have lived the rest of his life with it. Yet, in spite of this indisputable proof that we’ve all seen, the public has still accepted the notion that this is basically a birth defect. If someone had conjoined twins, would they wait 50 years to have them separated? Of course not. They would have them separated as early as possible so they could have a normal life. That is a medical necessity. We know the difference. But when people are influenced by mind control and media manipulation, they believe things they otherwise would not.
Parents are pressured by those in sex-change industry into believing that their children will commit suicide if they, the parents, do not approve of a “sex change.” And some have very serious mental illness themselves:
In a few cases, we have a parent who gets a sadistic thrill out of emasculating a boy. They may force or encourage cross‐dressing. The boy may provide initial resistance, but then go along with it. He may accept it out of fear. Later, the boy is diagnosed as transgender. No one will uncover the root cause of this condition, because no one looks anymore. It is just assumed he is transgender, so get him ready for the hormone treatment. The tragic irony is that the parents will be viewed as supportive rather than psychotic. These cases are rare, but not rare enough. It is one thing for parents to have to deal with an unexpected case of gender dysphoria in their child. It is something else to actively promote transgenderism in a child CHILD ABUSE IS LEGAL NOW who would have otherwise been normal. The former deserves sympathy. The latter deserves prosecution.
The drugs given to children who are indulged in their desire to change their sex are dangerous. They include Lupron:
The generic name is Leuprolide. It is a sex hormone suppressor. It is used in adults to treat endometriosis (A disorder in which tissue that normally lines the uterus grows outside the uterus), uterine fibroids (Noncancerous growths in the uterus that can develop during a woman’s childbearing years), and prostate cancer. In children it is approved to treat precocious puberty.130 How safe is this drug? The list of side effects from Lupron Depot Pediatric include bone pain, loss of movement, difficulty breathing, chest pain, feeling like passing out, difficulty urinating, numbness, weakness, dizziness, hot flashes, vaginal itching, testicle pain, joint pain, breast swelling, headaches, problems with speech or balance, wheezing, dry cough, high blood sugar, breakthrough bleeding, and nausea.131 Clearly, this drug is extremely dangerous. Even adults have suffered serious side effects from it. It is unconscionable to give this to children. How is that not child abuse?
All this to nurse a fantasy. As Serritella writes:
The true gender is rooted in the soul. The soul is either male or female. The soul is never intersexed or hermaphroditic, even when the body is. When the body is intersexed, we have either a male soul with female parts, or a female soul with male parts. The binary nature of gender is reinforced more than ever in the hermaphrodite. The soul’s gender is pure, even when the body’s is not. Even if chromosome tests could not determine the gender for some reason, that does not change the pure gender of the soul; it only means that it’s unknown.
In other words, body and soul are one, though sometimes through very rare natural conditions, that oneness is obscured.
Transgenderism may ultimately erode parental rights in a serious way. The Employment Non-Discrimination ACT (ENDA) “grants legitimacy to one’s ‘gender identity.'”
If this continues, we will become gender‐neutral, which will threaten the institution of marriage and weaken the family structure. With no clear concept of male and female, the state will not recognize the family as an autonomous unit. The State will have more authority to intervene in family issues and confiscate children and property. We have already seen how the parent’s wishes are overruled in schools, as children are forced into indoctrination programs. Opposition to these programs could lead to the loss of one’s children. This is outright totalitarianism, and the creation of such is ultimately the goal of all this.
This frightening scenario is not at all far-fetched. Here is a recent case in England, in which social workers tried to allow a 14-year-old girl to “change” her sex against the wishes of her parents. Transgenderism is indeed another shade of totalitarianism. The American government under Obama has vehemently supported transgenderism, even to the point of funding sex-change operations for those in the military, not because of its sympathy for a confused minority but because it fits in with its own longstanding efforts to, again, undermine the remaining foundations of the family and to sow the sort of confusion that makes human beings pliable. Though it is unlikely that Trump will pursue transgenderism in the same way, a great deal of damage has already been done and without a massive effort to expose and defund this fraud, it will continue to gain momentum. Trump is unlikely to reverse the damage done. As he did during the campaign, he will probably try to appease the LGBTQ crowd. Fortunately, there are individuals like Serritella, who also examines the role of Satanism and powerful pedophiliacs in transgenderism, to speak out. Let’s hope there will be many more. Though Serritella combines erroneous, New Age theology with his observations on the social and cultural ramifications, he correctly observes that the “transgenda” is ultimately about hatred of God and his highest creation on earth — the human being.
