Perverse Ad

I am forwarding a print ad that I came across in the April 3, 2017 edition of People Magazine, page 85. My instant impression of the ad was that it was bizarre and weird. Yes, it got my attention but so would other methods, so why this? The girl in the ad could get injured by her sadistic brother, yet she smiles as if enjoying the abuse.
(The ad also reminds me of the so-called “pizzagate” picture of the little girl with her hands duct-taped to a table. The picture was taken presumably in a pizzeria.)
When I asked my family for their impressions of the ad, they too thought it was odd, bizarre, and weird. What do you think of this ad?

The ad suggests perversion. And, as you say, the girl would be injured or killed if the garage door was opened. No normal girl would like to be in this position. And this is supposed to be funny?
Some people make duct tape crafts with the junk drink’s wasteful, futuristic packages so I suppose that’s one reason why it features duct tape. But if you enlarge the ad and look closely, you will see the girl is wearing the five-pointed star, a common symbol of secret societies. She is also wearing a bracelet (a kabbalah bracelet?) and notice there are splashes of red — on her wrist, on her neck, on her skirt, and on the duct tape just below her arms.
Regardless of these suggestions of the occult, it’s a sick ad. Consumers of popular culture are being gradually accustomed to images that child-sacrificing satanists and pedophiles would like. But that is not in the least bit surprising. We are a child-sacrificing culture.
