When Orgies Are Bad

July 6, 2017

REPORTS of a “gay orgy” at a Vatican apartment circled the globe yesterday.

The use of negative language in connection with homosexual activity is strictly verboten in the media unless it involves alleged homosexual activity by alleged Catholics, in which case the behavior must be strongly condemned and broadcast around the world. Seriously, when was the last time you saw the words “gay orgy” used disapprovingly in a major publication? Meanwhile, all of Western society is an ongoing orgy celebrated by the media.

Paul writes:

Based on this report, the resident of the orgy pad was a monsignor!  Worse, he supposedly was participating in the orgy and was on drugs.  Finally, the monsignor is the secretary to Cardinal Coccopalmerio, who thinks divorced-and-remarried people can receive Holy Communion.  The monsignor supposedly has been sent to a convent.  Most rational people would conclude the cardinal knew about the monsignor’s habits, yet the cardinal remains.  This situation shows that the Catholic leadership has not learned its lesson.

Today’s Mass reading is about mercy for sinners according to the priest at Mass this morning.  Jesus is seen associating with sinners, which was a scandal according to the Jewish authorities.  And Matthew was a former tax collector, a disreputable occupation at the time.  I think there is a distinction between employing a former sinner and employing an active sinner.

Laura writes:

Well, as you know, I think the fundamental problem is that the Catholic leadership is not Catholic. It has not benefited from the graces of the true Catholic Mass for 50 years.
