Regarding these ridiculous, so-called “students” at Evergreen; what is even the point of sending ones kids to college anyway? The whole learning thing is obviously out the window — and has been for decades. It became a diploma mill that grants tickets to jobs — now can’t even do that. So since it it not about learning, nor any longer can it be about guaranteed high-end jobs I must ask any parents saving up for college — why? I’ve never met a parent, of the type who are ultra-critical about “looney leftist” academics, who was not saving up to send his/her child into that buzzsaw. Why, if you’ve spent your adult lives trying desperately to raise a normal, functioning adult, would you then send that same fruit of your loins to those places? And to save money for it, for years? Oh, I know, they’ll major in something not in the humanities, that’ll save ’em. It hasn’t yet, but keep sending them to college, almost as if it is unavoidable.
