TRUMP’S policy against “transgenders” in the military has gone into effect:
According to the Pentagon’s latest memo on the subject, the armed forces will no longer accept new recruits diagnosed with gender dysphoria or recruits who’ve had hormone treatment or reassignment surgery.
Already-serving members (who have been estimated to total anywhere from 1,320 to 6,630) may stay, but will be treated as members of their biological sex rather than their “gender identity,” and held to the dress and grooming standards of the former. Current medical treatment will continue for current members already diagnosed with gender dysphoria, but new transition procedures will not be offered.
“Waivers will be allowed on a case-by-case basis but only from the secretaries in charge of the military services,” ABC notes.
LGBT activists have bitterly denounced the policy. The Washington Blade quotesNational Center for Transgender Equality policy director Harper Jean Tobin as bemoaning a “looming purge” and “unprecedented step backward in the social and civil progress of our country and our military.”
“Throughout our nation’s history, we have seen arbitrary barriers in our military replaced with inclusion and equal standards,” Tobin said. “This is the first time in American history such a step forward has been reversed, and it is a severe blow to the military and to the nation’s values.” [Lifesite News]

Donald Trump reminds me of the character in John Bunyan’s classic “Pilgrims Progress” called Mr Facing Both Ways. Mr.Trump is giving the impression that he is doing something to push back the transgender lobby but one only has to look at his record on pandering to the LGBT to see his sleight of hand in this matter.
He displayed a rainbow banner during one of his pre-election rallies. He appointed a homosexual Richard Grenell to be his Ambassador to Germany and through him (Grenell) Trump’s Administration is intent on forcing the LGBT agenda globally. Let us not forget that the “T” in LGBT stands for transsexual and the rainbow flag is their flag too.
Mike Pence the Vice President who is praised for his Christian convictions swore in the homosexual Ambassador and, more recently, swore in bisexual Kyrsten Sinema each time using the Holy Bible to do so!
It seems to me that Donald Trump occasionally throws these crumbs of comfort (like his transgender policy) to his Evangelical base, to both confuse them and keep them on board. He is playing them like pawns in a chess game but they brought all this upon themselves by voting for such a man in the first place.

You forgot the Trump administration’s “global effort to end criminalization of homosexuality.”
As fore those who voted for him, they didn’t have much of a choice.
