Pleasing her Husband Is Ridiculed

I have written to you before expressing my appreciation for your site and your views on home-making and marriage. I felt compelled to write again in gratitude for what you have recently posted. My heart is breaking for the poor lonely husband. Thank you for another reminder of the importance of a woman’s role and the destructive power it can hold when not in alignment with God’s ways.

How can “busy wife” abandon another person like this? How can she sacrifice family, honor, and virtue for other pursuits? I am thankful I love my husband. He is my best friend in every sense. It always baffles me how women find such pleasure in tearing down and criticizing the men they chose. I am often ridiculed for pleasing my husband. However, going out of the way to please a girlfriend is worthy of the highest praise.

Your recent posts are a reminder of how a women’s intent and desire is very powerful. It can be used for evil or good. The importance of reflecting upon our own intentions and desires often can mean “life” or “death” to the heart of another; our children, our husbands, people who come into our lives.  I pray I will always seek to please God and serve my husband with the love I promised to give. I pray that when it’s hard, boring, inconvenient, or unreciprocated that I continue to love in faith and hope for better days either in this life or in death.

I pray that the “busy wife” changes her heart, not for her own sake, but for the husband with which she made a commitment. For truth and beauty. For God.

Thank you.

What you say is contemptuous in the eyes of the world. It means you are weak instead of embattled. You’re supposed to be defending your rights!

Powerful forces want women to be tough, independent and heartless. Maintaining this toughness can be a great strain.
