MODERN democracy resembles not at all the beautiful myths of freedom and individual rights children are taught in schools.

No, in order to be a really successful politician today you have to be — please excuse my language —  a hired, treasonous scumbag, whatever party you follow. And if you are not a scumbag, you will be enticed and blackmailed into being one.

The story of the international sexual blackmail ring run by possibly-still-living Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, who was just convicted in New York on serious charges other than treason and blackmail, is a glimpse into not just the crimes of two monsters and their cunning cruelty and narcissism — all of it larger than life — but into just how depraved (and linked to the international Octopus), democracy has become. Yeah, it’s “for the people.” It’s about as much for the people as Epstein’s Lolita Express, which was strictly for hired scumbags such as Donald Trump, Bill Clinton, Bill Gates, Alan Dershowitz. Prince Andrew and more.

Neither Democrats nor Republicans come out clean. There is much more to this story than is being revealed in the mainstream, but it was good to see some justice served to the immediate victims, exploited and corrupted by these monsters and their political buddies at young ages and chosen specifically because they were poor shiksas. (According to the Talmud, it is permissible and righteous to exploit shiksas.)

For more interesting reading, here are comments by well-connected socialites about the relationship between Maxwell and Epstein. These comments explain, I think, why she was attracted to him (though they do not explain where he got all his money.) She was a driven social climber, the type of person, as one former friend said, who was always looking over your shoulder at a party to see if there was someone of higher status nearby. “Twisted” does not fully describe how she used her formidable social skills. The testimony at her trial was a profile in female sociopathy. It’s not only men who traffic in young and naive women. Not at all.

Some believe Maxwell was never tried, but is living abroad and was represented at the trial by a double. (She was reported to be in Paris two weeks before her arrest in New Hampshire.)

Anything is possible.
