Your posts today are abundant indeed. Just what I needed.
I watched the three videos by Teresa and they prove to be even easier to understand and appreciate. I find that even in reading many of her blog articles, when I do read a second or third time or so they become much more clear to me. My reading comprehension was never good even as a child many years ago.
Today’s posts by you is a very welcome beginning to Lent, thanks for supplying the extra “tools.”

Thank you for writing.
Yes, I think it’s a mistake to expect to comprehend all the information and analysis Mrs. Benns has provided in one, two or even three readings. There’s a lot there — but the most important point she makes is that if we have doubts about the legitimacy of any chapels because they are not in obvious communion with a true pope, we must not, according to Catholic teachings, seek the sacraments in these places. Once we have grasped this vital point, we can decide what to do and then wrestle with the other issues. Again, doubts are sufficient for us to decide what to do.
God does not expect us all to be canon lawyers or theologians. The basic questions are simple. Some have the time and ability to pursue these matters in depth, but the majority cannot.
