“Peace to Men of Good Will”
December 26, 2024
FROM a Christmas message by Patrick Henry:
It is that time of year again when all of us would do well to use this hyperlink to be reminded again of the true PATHWAYS TO PEACE. It explains in a very important way what the angels meant when they sang: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men of goodwill.” The second part sums up the reason why Jesus came to earth – to bring peace to men of goodwill. The information is very interesting, well-explained, and consoling. Nothing should take away our peace! It explains why every cross, contradiction, and trial in our lives should bring us real peace – if only we understand it. During this past year millions of people on earth, and a good number of those whom I know personally, have lost their beloved spouse, or parents, or their children. Others have lost their good name and reputation, or their jobs, or seemingly lost a lot in a court case. Others have had their property stolen, or those who owe them money refused to pay, or they suffered great financial losses. Others that we all know are suffering from health issues and other pains and sorrows.
Oh! If all these people only understood the message of the angels on Christmas night: PEACE to men of good will – how differently they would gain eternal merit and increase in sanctifying grace from their trials. There is nothing that can happen to us that should take away our PEACE! If only we lived by faith, hope, and charity; we would have PEACE no matter what the trials and crosses that God sends us – no matter what happens to us during our entire life! In some ways it seems quite sad that even Catholics do not understand what they need to do to have PEACE – regardless of the circumstances in their life!
Thank you for your prayers and the spiritual and material benefits bestowed upon me. Praying that these Christmas and Epiphany Seasons and New Year will bring you all of the crosses, contradictions, sufferings, joys, graces, and blessings you need in this life, so you will live in such a way to be with Jesus, Mary, and Saint Joseph for eternity. Praying that the Infant Jesus, true God, and true Man, will enlighten you spiritually to seek the truth, to find the truth, to understand the truth, to know the truth, to accept the truth, to live your life according to the truth, to love the truth, and never again to reject or impugn any known truth. May the Holy Family grant you the grace to live and die in the true Church founded by Jesus Christ in the state of sanctifying grace, having obtained that grace and degree of eternal glory it is God’s Holy Will you obtain.
Ora pro nobis!
