FOR those of us who believe face masks are harmful — physically, mentally, socially and spiritually — the Biden “victory” is potentially good news.
The face mask has now become a political symbol like never before. Joe and Kamala love it. Their faces were rarely seen on the campaign trail. They probably even wear masks to bed. And they have threatened to mandate masks nationally.
Why do people wear face masks? They wear them because they want to; it’s as simple as that.
They wear them because they believe they are medically justified; they are sincerely concerned about harming or offending others; they trust government health officials; they feel pressured to wear one or maybe they would like to signal their virtue. In other words, people wear masks because they want to wear them. I am not critical of individuals for simply doing this. I am not attacking individuals who want to wear a mask. I am critical of the government and businesses for pretending they can force everyone to wear a mask and for punishing those who do not wish to wear them.
The government has nothing beyond threats to make millions of people don a medical device. The Covid regime is based on bluff. The government is not going to put people in jail by the tens of thousands over the issue. Only the most blatant distortion of the Constitution could uphold a mask mandate in court when there is no public health emergency that justifies it and when the federal government’s own longstanding health and occupation regulations, based on medical science, forbid companies and government employers to require most devices or coverings that restrict the breathing of employees and only allow masks under certain strictly regulated conditions.
Thank you, Joe Biden, for saying you are going to force mask-wearing, even outside. Thank you, thank you, thank you. You’ve given the opposition a nice, big kick in the seat of the pants and it only takes that kind of abuse from one of its own.
Now that millions of Trump voters believe the election was stolen (it was stolen), are they going to go along with the Covid mandates to the same degree? I seriously doubt it (unless Trump is given a second term, which is still very possible.)
The Covid manufactured crisis never would have happened under a Hillary presidency because too many people would not have taken such blatant socialism from her. Trump, despite his talk about opposing it, was a major force behind it and brought his acolytes along. He’s the one who signed the law giving state governors tens of millions in kickbacks for enforcing the protocols and hyping the “cases.” He’s the one who kept Fauci, already known for his distortions of medical facts, in charge. He’s the one whose staff pressured the states to enforce mask-wearing. Biden, of course, will do these or worse things too, but he won’t have partisan cover. Half the country will not so blindly go along.
A fair number of Americans still have a thing about political liberty. They like it and don’t want to give it up. They are a thorn in the side of the greedy, utopian fanatics running the world — people like the incomparably arrogant Klaus Schwab of the World Economic Forum (the mere idea of a World Economic Forum reeks of arrogance), who has the audacity to tell the middle class person that he will no longer be able to afford to buy a house — but he will like it that way.
If Trump goes back to being just another celebrity, the mask will more and more become a symbol of plutocracy, government over-reach and political exploitation.
Welcome to the White House, Joe. We are ready for you.

I sure hope you are correct about the good of a Biden “victory”!!! But, I wonder . . . will the pro-Trump voters put up any opposition? To masks? To a mandatory vaccine?
I just returned from a trip to Lowe’s, where there were lots of construction guys, blue-collar types. Everyone was wearing a mask – all the MEN were wearing a mask. An employee at the door tried to stop me and hand me a mask, but I ignored her and walked straight in. No one stopped me. It totally freaks me out that healthy, strapping young men dutifully put on their stupid, dirty masks to enter a store. Anymore, the only people not wearing a mask in the stores are women! But only a very few.
Down the road, it won’t simply be a matter of the government putting someone in jail for refusing to mask-up or take the vaccine. No, defiance will mean your debit card won’t work, you won’t be able to renew your driver’s license, you will be denied medical care. . . Maybe I am wrong. I keep being called a “conspiracy theorist.”
As for Trump? I see that Netanyahu has congratulated Biden/Harris on their “victory.” So, if Netanyahu has thrown Trump under the bus, after all Trump did for Israel, might that not indicate that Trump is finished?
I think it is all getting to me, Laura!!! I continue to be so grateful for your website and your sanity.

I understand! And thanks for your support.
I would be surprised if these election results did not rile Trump voters, but you’re right. There could be apathy too.
