Watch this television commercial carefully. It goes quickly, and see if you see what I do. In the first second after we see a group of women and perhaps one man who’s behind in the group (his head pops out), you see a wall with what looks like two men scaling it with a bunch of men waiting to help them over.

As the main woman is climbing on the wall, behind and above her, a man is getting help from another to get over the top. The main woman, though, needs no help at all. She is clearly the superior and stronger athlete to all the men. Interesting, no?

Maybe, I’m misinterpreting things here. The man on the wall doesn’t look like he needs help (he’s at the top), and he’s getting over ahead of the woman, but I’m suspicious now of the Ad men and their tricks and agenda. Nothing in any movie or ad is merely coincidental when every second is carefully scripted and shot.

Considering 1/10 of second is all it takes for people to form an impression from people’s faces, it doesn’t take long to be “impressed” by images illustrating a point of view. “War against women”? Really?
