THE mortality rate among middle-aged, working class whites has spiked dramatically, reports The New York Times. Two Princeton professors say the change is due to suicidal behavior:

Analyzing health and mortality data from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and from other sources, they concluded that rising annual death rates among this group are being driven not by the big killers like heart disease and diabetes but by an epidemic of suicides and afflictions stemming from substance abuse: alcoholic liver disease and overdoses of heroin and prescription opioids.

The analysis by Dr. [Angus] Deaton and Dr. [Ann] Case may offer the most rigorous evidence to date of both the causes and implications of a development that has been puzzling demographers in recent years: the declining health and fortunes of poorly educated American whites. In middle age, they are dying at such a high rate that they are increasing the death rate for the entire group of middle-aged white Americans, Dr. Deaton and Dr. Case found.

The mortality rate for whites 45 to 54 years old with no more than a high school education increased by 134 deaths per 100,000 people from 1999 to 2014.

“It is difficult to find modern settings with survival losses of this magnitude,” wrote two Dartmouth economists, Ellen Meara and Jonathan S. Skinner, in a commentary to the Deaton-Case analysis to be published in Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences.

“Wow,” said Samuel Preston, a professor of sociology at the University of Pennsylvania and an expert on mortality trends and the health of populations, who was not involved in the research. “This is a vivid indication that something is awry in these American households.”

No kidding.

The article does not include figures broken down by sex. Judging from previous studies, I assume the rise is predominantly among men. Those without high school degrees are the most affected.

The least educated also had the most financial distress, Dr. Meara and Dr. Skinner noted in their commentary. In the period examined by Dr. Deaton and Dr. Case, the inflation-adjusted income for households headed by a high school graduate fell by 19 percent.

And:

It is not clear why only middle-aged whites had such a rise in their mortality rates. Dr. Meara and Dr. Skinner, in their commentary, considered a variety of explanations — including a pronounced racial difference in the prescription of opioid drugs and their misuse, and a more pessimistic outlook among whites about their financial futures — but say they cannot fully account for the effect.”

At his daily publication, The Anti-New York Times, Mike King writes what you will never read on this issue in the newspaper he calls the Slimes, a newspaper which has so often cheered on the demoralization of the white man:

Not clear? Leave it to a pair of number-crunching Ivy League ‘intellectuals’ to not be able to see what lies right under their noses. Newsflash professors! White men are killing themselves because this sick and diseased society that Marxists and feminists have created has rendered them emasculated and powerless. Sick societies create broken men (women too), and broken men neglect or kill themselves.

King also writes:

Dr. Meara and Dr. Skinner, we humbly suggest that you dig a bit deeper and find out how many of these prematurely deceased men were divorced, court-abused, financially raped, and vindictively estranged from their children. Men like ‘Bill’, a former co-worker of your reporter whose adulterous wife not only ditched him because he was “boring”, but refused to marry her scumbag ‘lover’ because she wanted to keep her alimony payments. After 4 years of court-imposed financial extortion, drinking, hair loss, and estrangement from his daughter, Bill did himself in with garage fumes.

Dr. Meara and Dr. Skinner, find out how many of these men were never even married to begin with — perhaps because they couldn’t support a wife and children in this low wage debt and tax economy; or perhaps they weren’t deemed ‘marriage material’ by the millions of modern (and also depressed) sluts which our Hollywood culture is producing.

The pain of an unfulfilled and lonely life can wear on a man — particularly if he once ‘had it all’ and lost it. This sad situation is part of our Marxist culture – a sick society in which the White male has been dispossessed of his country, his home, his money, his woman, his children, his power, and his dignity. That’s why he is dying!

The Times had another article yesterday on suicide in white, rural America. Among the cases described is the story of a Wyoming man who shot himself minutes after his wife delivered the final divorce papers. The wife contends the cause of his death was his refusal to seek “treatment.”

Hear! hear! for Mike King and his clue to the clueless.  And thank God for the Internet.  Being the one mass medium “Hollywood [Jewish] culture” does not control and where, therefore, its anti-white gentile propaganda cannot parade itself unchallenged, it may yet prove instrumental in the salvation of our race.

As a side note, you almost feel a little sorry for feminists, whose ethic has largely contributed to this tragedy.  They appear to have absolutely no idea of the catastrophe that’s headed their way and has their ideology directly in its crosshairs, for the only thing that makes modern feminism possible and tolerated is the liberalism and Christianity of white European culture.  None of the non-white races pouring into this country now come from cultures that have even the slightest whiff of patience or tolerance for what we call “sexual equality,” let alone any kind of feminist supremacism.  A real hard slap-down is on the way for them, brother, because they’re evidently too stupid to realize that with their hostility toward the interests of the white race, they are undermining the one and only social framework that allows them to stand and have a voice at all.  They’ll get no help from Jews either.  In that culture, even their own women are regarded almost as inferior as gentiles.  Once they’re in control, they’ll drop the pretense of their support for feminism (largely a Jewish creation anyway), which stems not from any concern for “women’s rights” but from a desire to add division — ethnic division, cultural division, moral division, etc. — to white European civilization in order to contribute to its disintegration.

The increased suicide rates are not surprising in a society that denies the immortality of the soul and the eternal consequences of sin. Suicide is a sin. It’s incredibly sad. So many of those who have killed themselves do not realize, or refuse to realize, that suffering is redemptive.
