Flu in Italy, 2013-2017: 68,000 Deaths
FROM the International Journal of Infectious Diseases, Volume 88, November 2019, Pages 127-134:
•In the winter seasons from 2013/14 to 2016/17, an estimated average of 5,290,000 ILI [influenza-like illness] cases occurred in Italy, corresponding to an incidence of 9%.
•More than 68,000 deaths attributable to flu epidemics were estimated in the study period.
•Italy showed a higher influenza attributable excess mortality compared to other European countries. especially in the elderly.

BRAZILIAN President Jair Bolsonaro has defied the World Health Organization and refused to shut down the country’s economy. He called the coronavirus “a little flu.”
“The virus is here, we’re going to have to confront it. Confront it like a man, not a boy! We’re all going to die one day.”
Meanwhile, the international media tries to take the “far-right” president down. Bolsonaro has also said he doesn’t want “gay tourists” in his country. (more…)

CBS Admits “Mistake”
FROM FOX NEWS: CBS News admitted to a "mistake" on Monday after airing footage of an overcrowded hospital room that was allegedly in New York City but was actually from a hospital in Italy. "It was an editing mistake. We took immediate steps to remove it from all platforms and shows," a CBS News spokesperson told Fox News. Last Wednesday, "CBS This Morning" included a brief clip showing several patients and medical professionals in one room during a report about the rising threat of the coronavirus outbreak in New York City. However, that same footage aired days prior on Sky News.

“Trust Us”
THIS is a brilliant little speech by Ursula Von der Leyen, president of the European Union.
Her purpose here is to make the case for greater Internet censorship. You see, people are spreading falsehoods about the virus.
Notice how she picks absurdities — such as the idea that bleach can cure the virus — to make her case that untruths are rampant. Let me suggest that Von der Leyen is not at all worried that you might drink bleach. She is worried that you might drink from the wells of truth.
But she does a convincing job of projecting concern. She loves you. They are doing it only for your good.

The social control artists are exploiting fear-of-death-induced panic and control. The world is not a logical place and we limit the effectiveness of our messages by appealing to logic. They show pictures of a dead baby, many coffins, homeless being herded, patients lying on hospital floors, it is those images that provoke fear. Our messages can’t compete. They make it appear they have all the weapons, ventilators, masks, chloroquine, etc.
If we can put something in their hands — vitamin C, etc., then just for placebo effect it works to allay panic. (more…)

Psyop Alert: NYC Bodies Loaded onto Refrigerated Truck
THE New York Post is touting this obviously staged video of corpses in Brooklyn being loaded onto a refrigerated truck allegedly full of victims of the coronavirus: The coronavirus pandemic has slammed New York City so hard that health care workers are using forklifts to load dead bodies into refrigerated trucks, according to a viral video. The 5-minute and 32-second clip posted to YouTube shows medical officials helping to load the corpses in body bags into the mobile morgue outside Brooklyn Hospital Center in Fort Greene, according to a man shooting the clip who does not identify himself. Anyone with any experience with modern hospitals knows that bodies are usually transported from hospitals by funeral homes and, in any event, are not left out in the open on sidewalks. The death count in New York, even if you accept all the cases being presented by officials as deaths actually caused by the virus rather than deaths of people who have tested positive for it and had other serious conditions, is not so great as to create this kind of body crisis or this sort of break with protocols, which probably violates the city's sanitary laws. On an average day in New York City, someone dies every nine minutes. New York hospitals are used to processing dozens of bodies and the alleged deaths from coronavirus would be spread out over numerous hospitals. Notice in the official figures given, we are not told…

However, you have been rightly questioning how it is that hospitals could be overwhelmed by the coronavirus pandemic when so many more people die annually of influenza. I had the same question, so I asked my husband, who is a nurse at University of Michigan hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Michigan is one of the hardest hit states for COVID-19 infections at present. From Barron's: Billionaire investor Bill Ackman announced earlier this month that he had been hedging his portfolio against market volatility spurred by the coronavirus. The bet paid off handsomely. Ackman’s Pershing Square Capital Management hedge fund laid out $27 million to buy credit protection on global investment-grade and high-yield credit indexes. The purchases, which were made late last month when credit spreads were tighter, carried limited downside risk but the potential for significant upside. Ackman said Wednesday that he finished unwinding the hedges on Monday, reaping $2.6 billion in proceeds. The hedge fund honcho has been making the media rounds recently, demanding that President Donald Trump institute a 30-day national shutdown to slow the spread of the coronavirus. He even warned that failing to act could take hotel stocks to zero. Nevertheless, he has been buying up stocks.
