On Marriage

FOR C. --- Richard Wilbur After the clash of elevator gates And the long sinking, she emerges where, A slight thing in the morning’s crosstown glare, She looks up toward the window where he waits, Then in a fleeting taxi joins the rest Of the huge traffic bound forever west. On such grand scale do lovers say good-bye— Even this other pair whose high romance Had only the duration of a dance, And who, now taking leave with stricken eye, See each in each a whole new life forgone. For them, above the darkling clubhouse lawn, Bright Perseids flash and crumble; while for these Who part now on the dock, weighed down by grief And baggage, yet with something like relief, It takes three thousand miles of knitting seas To cancel out their crossing, and unmake The amorous rough and tumble of their wake. We are denied, my love, their fine tristesse And bittersweet regrets, and cannot share The frequent vistas of their large despair, Where love and all are swept to nothingness; Still, there’s a certain scope in that long love Which constant spirits are the keepers of, And which, though taken to be tame and staid, Is a wild sostenuto of the heart, A passion joined to courtesy and art Which has the quality of something made, Like a good fiddle, like the rose’s scent, Like a rose window or the firmament.

Shot Five Times — and Smiling

THIS hilarious interview recalls a limerick by Hilaire Belloc: I shoot the Hippopotamus With bullets made of platinum, Because if I use leaden ones His hide is sure to flatten 'em. But Mr. Bates doesn't have the hide of a hippo. Ouch!! The bullets fly through and then they fly out. I shoot the crisis actor With bullets made of cheese, Because if I use leaden ones His story might not please. Nah, how about this: I shoot the crisis actor With bullets made of pickles, Because if I use leaden ones He might not get the tickles. Gee, writing limericks is harder than it looks! Okay, so I'm no Belloc. But you get the idea. Wait! I've got it now: I shoot the crisis actor With bullets that are fabricated, Because if I use leaden ones The video will be eradicated. And they might start censoring this video too:

True Female Empowerment

Embroidery, Mikhail Vasil’evich Nesterov; 1909

IF WOMEN behave with dignity in their lives, in all their lives, their thoughts, their intentions, their desires, their wills, their manners, their clothing, their relations, if women shine forth with purity, humility, modesty, then the society that surrounds them will be honourable, noble, orderly, leaving things in their place and respecting the mysteries of life. This society will be good, beautiful, strong, sane and peaceful.

The point of departure: dignified women. The fruit: a well-balanced and happy society.

A dignified woman commands respect. She commands, she reigns like a queen over those who live around her. She has the aspirations of a queen. But the only reign that suits her is that of true love which directs the hearts to the spiritual eternal destiny which is theirs. Woman shares with Christ the royal honour to lead men to the Father.

To fulfill this role, women must not attract the others’ attention on themselves by their pride, their coquetry, their carnal tyranny. By their discretion, their modesty and purity, they must be the beauty which directs towards God and the rampart which holds back passions.

Women will be generous and noble queens. Or else they will be robbing and degrading mistresses, despots who crush souls and bodies until they become the slaves of their own victims who will want them to pay a high price for, having led them in the downfall, like Eve had led Adam. And the degrading women will soon be despised, chained, held prisoner by brutes whom they will have formed. It is in this way that our civilization, formerly Christian, can go down into paganism and savagery.

The Fire at the Church

Firefighters attempt to extinguish the blazing roof of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in St. Louis on April 28, 1994. (Renyold Ferguson/Post-Dispatch)

ALAN writes:

When I learned that the roof of Notre Dame Cathedral had burned, it reminded me of two other events in south St. Louis from long, long ago.

Sometime in or around 1959, I was awakened by a thunderstorm in the middle of the night. All of us were asleep. Upon awakening, I glanced in the direction of our bathroom and saw that the light was on. That puzzled me because I knew no one could be in there.  I awakened my mother and she got up to investigate. Indeed no one was there, but the ceiling light had come on and puffs of smoke were emerging from the light fixture. She immediately called the fire department and men arrived within a few minutes. One or more of them climbed onto the roof to assess the situation. They concluded that lightning struck the roof and caused the light to come on. They made sure that there was no potential for fire. In the middle of the night and during an intense thunderstorm, it all seemed rather scary to a 10-year-old boy. Of course we were extremely fortunate.

I was attending St. Anthony of Padua parochial school in those years. One of my classmates was a boy named Larry, whose family lived a few houses down from ours. We often played baseball at Marquette Park, two blocks away. I remember a day in October 1958 when Larry and I walked to school together and talked about a spooky TV program we had watched the night before, called “The House of Flying Objects”.  (It should have been called “The House of Teenage Pranksters”.) Larry’s father was a firefighter.

An Impromptu Speech

HAVING allegedly lost not one, but two relatives in the Dayton, Ohio shooting event last weekend, Dayton’s Damon Davenport was able to deliver a moving political speech the same day without confusion, tears or the speechless shock that normally follows the murder of relatives. You can see his speech in this report by CNN. Many videos about the shooting have been removed from Youtube, but this one is safe and sound.

By his own account, Davenport was at “a loss for words.”

At minute 2:27, an unnamed young black woman who witnessed the shooting (does the white woman next to her look like the type of person who would be clubbing with her?) was less impassioned. She seemed bored, as if reading a script, and was almost smiling.

Did you know that 59 people were shot in Chicago last weekend, but only seven people died? That death rate makes sense. Shooters are rarely able to hit their targets perfectly. And surgeons often can remove bullets in those who have been shot and bring victims back to life. But when people get shot in events that, like the Dayton shooting, are widely publicized and involve a political agenda (Chicago victims don’t count), the number of survivors are always extremely low and the marksmanship of the perpetrators, most of whom look like they have spent years playing video games not practicing at shooting ranges, cannot be surpassed by even the most highly trained combat snipers. In the Dayton shooting, Connor Stephen Betts, the 24-year-old alleged perpetrator who had no military background, was reportedly able to shoot fatally ten people (including his sister, Megan) and injure 14 more in 30 seconds. (See Wikipedia timeline.) In 30 seconds. He was instantly shot dead by police.

By the way, Newsweek has addressed claims that Connor Betts looked suspiciously like another Connor Betts of roughly the same age who also had a sister named Megan. The other Connor Betts died four years ago. The idea that they were the same person is “irrational,” the magazine says.

The Megan in the news, we are told, was a “closeted trans man.” (more…)

Debt and the Colonists

“Impossible to find a happier and more prosperous population on all the surface of the globe.”

FROM THE MICHAEL JOURNAL comes this article by Alain Pilote:

The dictatorship of the bankers and their debt-money system are not limited to one country, but exist in every country in the world. They are working to keep their control tight, because the example of what an honest system could be, with one country freeing itself from this dictatorship and issuing its own interest- and debt-free currency, would be enough to bring about the worldwide collapse of the bankers’ swindling debt-money system.

This fight of the International Financiers to install their fraudulent debt-money system has been particularly vicious in the United States of America since its very foundation. Historical facts show that several American statesmen were well aware of the dishonest money system the Financiers wanted to impose upon America and of all of its harmful effects. These statesmen were real patriots, who did all that they possibly could to maintain for the USA an honest money system, free from the control of the Financiers. The Financiers did everything in their power to keep in the dark this facet of the history of the United States, for fear that the example of these patriots might still be followed today. Here are some facts that the Financiers would like the population not to know: (more…)

Anomalies in Shooting Reports

SEE reports by Fellowship of the Minds and Vivien Lee on the missing pieces in recent reports of mass shootings.

In the video below, you can see the completely bloodless victims of the shootings at an El Paso Walmart ludicrously — against all emergency protocols observed by emergency teams around the country — taken out of the store on shopping carts. (Did they deliberately choose heavy victims to poke fun at America? I wonder.)

Carnage is typically messy. The human body carries more than a gallon of blood and it tends to flow profusely. Here we see none of the normal mess. It looks like an emergency drill, not a real event.

Furthermore, the idea that one person could kill 22 people in minutes when even the most expert marksman cannot achieve such kill rates, especially in this age of advanced medicine when even people who are shot in the head can be revived and survive for years, is absurd.

The real victims of these shootings are the children and extremely gullible adults who have been traumatized by these reports which are broadcast everywhere so that you cannot escape them or find barely a corner of the world to achieve a moment’s rest from manufactured hysteria and political grandstanding.

White Nationalist Killers

FROM BROTHER NATHANAEL in a new video:

It’s the lie that will not die.

‘Whites are doing mass shootings and must be stopped.’

Last time I looked it was blacks such as DeWayne Craddock who cut down 12 mostly white co-workers in Virginia Beach this summer.

He didn’t fit the script—he wasn’t white, no manifestos, no social media—so the jew-owned media ditched him.

There’s Anthony Watkins and Terrance Wesley who mowed down 5 black men in St Louis this July. (more…)

Faith

"IF WE were able by ourselves to know perfectly all things, visible and invisible, it would be foolish for us to believe what we do not see. But our knowledge is so imperfect that no philosopher has ever been able to discover perfectly the nature of a single fly ... If our intelligence is so weak, is it not foolish to be willing to believe about God only what we are able to find out by ourselves alone?" --- St. Thomas Aquinas

The White Nationalist Bogeyman

ANONYMOUS writes:

I am so glad you’re back. I was beginning to worry about you and was eager to see your take on recent events. I immediately thought of you and the Ole Dammegard video when I saw the shoe picture from Dayton. This quote also came to mind in light of Gilroy, El Paso, and Dayton:

“Once is happenstance; twice is coincidence; the third time it’s enemy action.” — Ian Fleming’s James Bond novel, Goldfinger (1959)

Here is a compilation of some of the anomalies of our latest cataclysms. I especially like the Beto O’Rourke/Robbie Parker parallels, as both struggle to compose their chortling selves before delivering their on-camera spiels (video comparisons at the link.)

Thank you very much for covering these bewildering occurrences. I, too, am finding it more difficult to locate any decent commentary online and appreciate your posting on these topics all the more. (more…)

The Shoe Clue

THE Masonic operatives who plan false flag shootings typically leave empty shoes as a clue. From Nice to Orlando to San Bernardino to Las Vegas, images of empty shoes appeared prominently in the news coverage immediately following massacres in these cities. Here is a pile of shoes in the nightclub district in Dayton, the site of Saturday's alleged shooting. But, victims do not fly out of their shoes when they are shot! Most people do not fly out of their shoes when they run away! Ole Dammegard examined the shoe symbolism in an interview mentioned in this previous post.

World Youth Day 2019

NOVUS ORDO WATCH comments: First convened by the “Theology of the Body” mastermind “Pope Saint” John Paul II in 1985, the Novus Ordo phenomenon of World Youth Day has long been dubbed the “Catholic Woodstock” on account of the rampant occasions of carnal sin it offers due to the free mixing of large groups of young men and women, most of whom are dressed in shockingly immodest ways. It may just be, however, that there is an even more sinister side to World Youth Day. The most recent such event took place in Panama in January of this year. Frequent visitors to this site may recall the horrendous prayer and adoration vigil “Pope” Francis presided over, which featured a grotesque-looking hollow metal monstrance in the form of the Blessed Mother: Monster-ance! Horrid Adoration Ceremony at World Youth Day Vigil Service So far, so bad. But now some people on Twitter have claimed that during that ceremony Francis used a humeral veil with a trim pattern that displays a logo used by pedophiles and pederasts to identify themselves to kindred spirits. Thus we decided to investigate, and what we found was shocking. [cont.]

College Corrupting Black Women

JESSE LEE PETERSON, beginning at minute 54 in this interview, briefly discusses the effects of college education on black women, who dramatically outnumber black men in "higher education." The official story is, of course, that this is all a great advance for women. Peterson maintains it is making it impossible for black men to marry them.

Our Summer Shootings

MIKE ADAMS has five questions that he says prove that the El Paso Walmart shooting was a staged event. (That doesn’t necessarily mean no one was killed.)

Youtube has taken down videos questioning this event and the Dayton shooting, ridiculously defining them as “hate speech.” (I guess, Sherlock Holmes was a hater too.) The era of readily available amateur reporting is suspended for now. But censorship is in itself evidence of staging. Censorship also will not contain the growth in understanding of state-sponsored terrorism and its deliberate psychological effects.

Note to readers: I’m sorry I have not been able to respond to emails over the past week. I hope to return to regular blogging this week.

A comment there from New Zealand:

“I absolutely agree. In the new Zealand shooting they were doing active shooter training also. Trying to scare everyone. After the new Zealand shooting strict gun laws were immediately passed”

Trump’s Evangelical Fans

(AP Photo/Evan Vucci, File)

PROTESTANT columnist Chuck Baldwin writes:

[J]erry Falwell Jr., Pat Robertson, Franklin Graham, Robert Jeffress, et al. have been gushing over Trump like he’s another John the Baptist who’s paving the way for the Messiah. These “Christian leaders” have the ear of millions of evangelicals. If these “great men of God” say it, it must be true.

But, again, that’s the superficial reason why evangelicals love Donald Trump. The real reason lies much deeper. Are you ready for this? The real reason evangelicals love Donald Trump is because they are just like him.

Thankfully, there are wonderful exceptions to what I am saying. Over my 44 years of Gospel ministry, I have come to know some of the sweetest, kindest, most loving, humble, godly, giving, honest and honorable Christian evangelists, pastors and people in the world: wonderful, precious souls. But without reservation or hesitation I can say that these terrific people are a small percentage of the whole. In word and deed, most evangelicals have a track record of being little more than miniature reflections of Donald Trump. Evangelicals love Donald Trump because in character and conduct he is truly one of them.

Liberal blogger Kevin Drum nailed it:

If you want to think of evangelicals as hypocrites, that’s fine. But don’t think of them that way because of Donald Trump. He is practically the apotheosis of conservative Christianity in America, not some weird, blustering outlier. No one should be either surprised or shocked that they love him.

However, there are four specific things about Donald Trump that make him achieve this almost god-like status with evangelicals.

No, it’s not his pro-life verbiage. Like Trump, most evangelicals only provide lip service to the pro-life cause. Evangelicals will look you in the eye and tell you that the GOP is a pro-life party. (more…)
