Pride Is Nothing New

THEY that are taken with this disease, not only do not consider the heinousness of the sin, but are even proud of it, and think it a mark of distinction. For it is against nature, against its laws and definitions. When Paul says, ‘And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another,’ he indicates that the desire is not only for luxury, but for that which is against nature. For there are many ways of being lustful, and the apostle here names the one which is the most grievous.”
