ON the morning of December 14, 2012, 20 young children and six adults were murdered in a shooting spree by a gunman at the Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, Connecticut. As most of you know from the official account, the gunman was 20-year-old Adam Lanza, the emotionally troubled, homeschooled son of a gun-toting Republican mother with whom he lived alone and whom he also allegedly killed that day. Lanza’s frightening and bizarre photograph appeared in news outlets throughout the country for months after the event, which was the second deadliest shooting by a single person in U.S. history. FIRST, the military has to change almost everything to let women in. And then it has to change everything else to prevent them from leaving. They want in and then they want out.

The problem is, the Navy does not accommodate motherhood, writes Lt. Mary Witkowski. Things are so bad, Lt. Witkowski says, she is redirecting her elite Naval Academy training, which she obtained at public expense and for which she arguably displaced some man who might have stayed much longer and supported a family while doing so, to find a job in the public sector that is more congenial to daily child neglect. (She doesn’t mention it, but getting rid of that dreadful uniform would be nice too.) “It’s the pre-ordained military schedule that can make Navy life and motherhood so hard to balance,” she says. Children do get in the way, don’t they? She advocates more flex time and telework. That’s interesting. I did not realize you could be a surface warfare officer by phone. Can you be a submarine commander and cook dinner at the same time? I have to admit, that would be very cool and then women would finally have it all. Men could find something else to do.

Lt. Witkowski writes: “To stop the flow of talented women out of the Navy, we must stay focused on why these women are leaving. Only then will the military be able to retain the intelligent, motivated, and experienced women that are helping it to thrive.” Jawohl, Lieutenant! We must stay focused! Our mission is to destroy American families one feminist step at a time. We will accept nothing less.

One major motivating factor is not mentioned in Lt. Witkowski’s analysis: MOOLA.

SOME of you may have already seen the very disturbing undercover interview with Dr. Deborah Nucatola, senior director of medical services for Planned Parenthood since 2009. In the interview, Dr. Nucatola describes the process by which Planned Parenthood sells body parts of fetuses to medical research-affiliated companies such as StemExpress. She sips wine and eats salad while explaining how she tries to preserve lungs, hearts and intact heads while surgically removing fetuses. She has a “huddle” in the morning with administrative assistants who know what companies are looking for that day. Then she tries to procure the parts intact while performing abortions.

She defends the trade in body parts, for which PP does not make much money, as not motivated by profit but primarily by the need to find more methods to dispose of bodies and the desire to aid science. Many women having abortions, she says, are eager to donate the parts because they think it will do good. They signs papers agreeing to the donations. A full transcript of the interview is here. It is a chilling look into the abortion industry, to say the least. Planned Parenthood performs 40 percent of abortions in the country and, according to Nucatola, spends about ten minutes counseling each woman who has an abortion.

Feminism has been great for women, hasn’t it? It’s opened up so many career opportunities. If it weren’t for feminism and the mass psychological warfare against women by the media, women like Nucatola might be producing children instead of killing them. (more…)

EVEN under the seemingly best of conditions — when a hard-working female officer is put in charge — an all-female military battalion  faces extraordinary conflict. A reportedly tough female Marine officer who led the only all-female recruit battalion has been dismissed, allegedly because she was too hard on the women soldiers, whom she insisted should meet higher standards:

On one occasion, the investigation found, she made comments during a sexual assault prevention brief that female Marines interpreted as victim-blaming, leading some to testify that it would make them feel less comfortable reporting a sexual assault within the command.

[Lt. Col. Kate] Germano also “reinforced gender bias and stereotypes” in the minds of her Marines by telling them on several occasions that male Marines would not take orders from them and would see them as inferior if they could not meet men’s physical standards, the investigation found.

I did not know soldiers grade their commanders. Germano did not score well on the “Defense Equal Opportunity Management Institute command climate survey taken by 64 members of the battalion in April.” (Be forewarned. Pretty soon your children will be taking a “command climate survey.”)

The integration of America’s military forces is a farce. It has nothing to do with fighting for America and everything to do with fighting against it. (more…)

THE “PAPAL” pop star’s whirlwind visit to Latin America last week was a tour de force of revolutionary demagoguery. Just a few highlights: In Ecuador, the Marxist madman and papal pretender prepared the crowds for his expected raid on moral doctrine at the upcoming Synod (Nod-to-Sin) on the Family. Without alluding to any specific changes in store, he said a new era was coming. With messianic bombast, he described unforeseen happiness. His words were a straight-up shot of anti-Catholic mental booze that was just the sort of thing crowds swooning over the sight of a major celebrity (or innocently believing they were seeing a true Holy Father) would unquestioningly imbibe:

And this is the good news: the finest wines are yet to be tasted; for families, the richest, deepest and most beautiful things are yet to come. The time is coming when we will taste love daily, when our children will come to appreciate the home we share, and our elderly will be present each day in the joys of life. Holy Toledo, how will this remarkable happiness come about “in spite of all the variable and statistics which say otherwise?” By taking sin and converting it into “wine.” Pretty cool, eh?
